We are a firm of lift consultants and you can find out about us on the link below. More and more of our clients want to save energy in their buildings and reduce their carbon footprint. This got us thinking, and researching ways this could be achieved in terms of their lifts.
We started with the simple aim of helping our clients save energy on their lifts. Firstly, we needed to know how much energy our clients’ lifts consume. Using an energy meter alone, isn’t that helpful as it only gives total consumption.
We then thought to combine it with an IoT device to track energy use and lift starts.
This provides more insightful data, helping map energy consumption to lift usage. If lift use can then be optimised, this will reduce energy consumption. We then considered how else we could use this device to help our clients.
Why not monitor lift breakdowns?
By connecting to the out-of-service signal from the lift control panel, we can precisely track downtime, to the second. This eliminates reliance on potentially imprecise information from the service provider and, helps to hold them to account.
LiftEnergy+ was born as an innovative, low-cost solution that provides valuable data and insights that can help you make better decisions about your lift management. Helping save energy on your lifts and giving you complete transparency on your lift usage and reliability.
