Usage Profiling

Amonst other benefits, usage data can be used to optimise energy consumption. For example, lifts can be programmed to go into an energy-saving mode during periods of low usage, reducing operational costs

Frequently asked questions

LE+ can be installed on most lifts irrespective of manufacturer. LE+ is connected to an energy meter that in turn is connected to the lift. This meter is normally installed in the control panel. However, where space does not permit this, it can be installed on the outside fixed by a short section of DIN rail. With this set-up LE+ can gather information on lift starts and energy usage. Where a connection to the control panel for the Out of Service Signal is available, then LE+ can also monitor when the lift goes in and out of service.

No, the energy meter comes supplied with the LE+ device along with inline fuse holders for protection and necessary cables to connect the LE+ device to the meter and, the meter to the lift.

The physical setup on site normally takes between 1 and 2 hours. Once this is done, portal access is provided and, characteristics of the lift (speed, load, etc.) are added to portal you are live and can view data.

LE+ can take direct two wire connections from control panels that have 12 and 24 vdc OOS signals. Alternatively, LE+ can accommodate signals from a no-volt contact (normally open, or normally closed).

No, not directly. LE+ is a monitoring device. It allows for monitoring energy consumption and usage patterns over time. Profiles of energy consumption and usage patterns give insights into the operation of the lift and, provide information to allow usage patterns to be optimised. When usage is optimised so is energy consumption.
